Coaching

What is it?

Coaching is a formal and structured process that helps a person develop or enhance skills with an achievable goal in mind.

It is helping a person ttransform future possibilities intreality. From the beginning of the coaching process, the individual works toward a solution of his problems. Coaches are facilitators guiding individuals in their search for answers.

Coaching is not a form of therapy and therefore does not solve emotional problems. It alsshould not be confused with Counseling (advice) and Mentoring (guardian).

We are professionals with extensive experience in development of human resources in large, national and multinational companies.   • Trained in Mathematics at the University of Sao Paulo, in Business Administration at Mackenzie University,; earned degree of RH MBA from the University of San Paulo and the Master Fecap.
  • Professor in the area of HR; teaches graduate courses at INPG - National Institute of Graduate.
  • Former Director of Human Resources of GRSA - Solutions in Food and Danone Ltda.
  • Holds the title of Coach and Coach Master at the ICI - Integrated Coaching Institute.

Arnaldo Mello Franco


  • Independent Consultant, specializing in Personnel Management and Organization. Emphasis on "coaching", career guidance, and the process of succession.
  • Studied law and administration at the PUC-SP, earned an MBA in Human Resources at FEA-USP and gained expertise in HR at FMU and FGV.
  • Attended various seminars, conferences and meetings in Brazil and abroad, after undergoing training at the Universities of California (UCLA) and INSEAD (France), in the areas of HR and Business Management.
  • He is a professional coach with certification obtained through the ICI - Integrated Coaching Institute.
  • He is co-author of Strategy of Internationalization and Impact on Organizational Structure; along with other members of FIA - Foundation Institute of Administration, authored the book Internationalization, Strategy and Structure, (Atlas,- 2007).

The Process

It may be analyzed from two angles:

1 - The professional knows exactly what he wishes to accomplish in terms of skills and shows up with a need for self-development in an effort to achieve a specific objective. The coach starts a process aimed at extracting the professional's paths or solutions leading to changes in or correction of behavior.

2 - The occupation is the problem or the situation and this he does not have full knowledge of skills that should be developed. In this case the coach seeks a diagnosis of behavioral complete professional, developing together a goal to be achieved.

A process of coaching, depending on the degree of complexity of the moment, can be completed in a maximum of 10 sections, each ranging from 1 to 2 hours. However, experience has shown that the initial sections are the first visible results.

The owner must present itself with the open mind to recognize their "gaps" of skills and takes in the first section, a formal with the coach to achieve the practical exercises.
